NEW URTEXT EDITION OF BERNHARD VAN DEN SIGTENHORST MEYER AT FELIX EDITIONS

In 1983 I recorded in the concertgebouw in Amsterdam his preludes opus 17 that picture 8 animals for my album’The animal in the 20th century piano music’.

The reviews were good and it was good that at last half a century after his death there was a recording of one of his piano pieces.

I am very glad that Felix Editions has decided to publish now a new urtext edition of another composition by him: the wonderful “Six views on mount Fuji’.

I was honoured by Martijn Vromans from Felix Editions with his proposal to assist him in the project and to write the preface.

Here is the link to my performance. The sound quality is not very good ( old tape), but you can get a good impression of the piece.
